Last week’s LAOTW, Connor Jillions, began performing at some of the many Open Mics that are held around the county. Which is great. But such sessions are not just places for youngsters to get started, or even for more experienced musicians to try out new material, they are also places where exciting new collaborations are born.
That’s exactly what happened when Bob Williams met Dave McBride at the Acoustic Sessions held in the Boar’s Head, Templeton (now relocated to the Evergreen Inn, Tenby on Tuesday nights). The two ‘veterans’, who both sing and play guitar, discovered that they shared musical interests and that there was a sort of chemistry happening when they played.
Thus the duo Hard of Hearing was born. Ready now to begin gigging, they made their first public appearance live in sesssion on the BB Skone Show of Sunday 17th June (check out the podcast for the full performance and interview) and are now PWR’s LAOTW.
All five songs were recorded live by BB for his show.
