Milford Haven Soroptimists raised vital funds For local charity
--
On Tuesday 18th October the Milford Haven Soroptimists held a spectacular fashion show, which was hosted by Vanessa Hackett, within her store ‘Image by Vanessa’, located in Victory House, Milford Marina. The event was a huge success and very well supported. They raised vital funds for local Hospice at Home charity, Paul Sartori Foundation.
Each ticket included a glass of wine and nibbles, along with 10% off all purchases on the evening. By selling tickets and holding a raffle on the night, they raised a fantastic total of £1076.00 for the local charity. Milford Haven Soroptimists chose to fundraise for Paul Sartori Foundation as the charity support so many individuals at the end-of-life within Pembrokeshire.
Recently, Paul Sartori Foundation Trustee, Janet Bevans was invited to ‘Image by Vanessa’ to meet up with Erene Grieve, President of the Milford Haven Soroptimists and owner Vanessa Hackett for a cheque presentation. Janet Bevans said “Image by Vanessa and Milford Haven Soroptimists held this fashion event recently, which was such an enjoyable evening. The funds raised will make a huge difference to Paul Sartori Foundation and I’d like to thank, on behalf of the Charity, all of the organisers, models and all those who attended.”
Vanessa also said “I would like to thank all of the models and volunteers who gave their time to make the show a huge success. I’d also like to thank Milford Soroptimists for asking me to host the event for such a fantastic charity.”
Paul Sartori Hospice at Home provides a range of services to Pembrokeshire people living in the final stages of a life-limiting illness, including home nursing care, equipment loan, complementary therapy, bereavement and counselling support, under 18’s anticipatory grief and bereavement support, physiotherapy, advance care planning and training.
The services provided by the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home enable people in the later stages of any life-limiting illness to be cared for and to die at home with dignity, independence, pain free and surrounded by those they hold most dear, if that is their wish.
All of the services are free of charge and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, thanks to the generosity of the Pembrokeshire Community.
