Works are due to begin on the installation of the new traffic signals at the A477 'Finger Post' junction, including kerb line realignments and upgrade of the existing active travel route.
Work begins on Sunday, May, 19th 2024 and will continue until Mid-September 2024
Temporary traffic signals will be in place for the duration of the improvements.
The contractor will be working up to 12 hours a day, 6-days a week from Sunday to Friday 7am-7pm.
Phase 1 works-Eastbound commencing 19" May 2024 and scheduled for completion middle of July 2024.
Phase 2 works - Westbound will commence in July and continue up to the Summer, excluding the period from 22nd August to 27th August 2024, Works will recommence on 27th August untll mid-Septemnber 2024.
This could result in traffic disruption at intervals, please allow extra time for your journey.
It is essential that these works take place to improve road safety at this location.
Every effort will be made to minimise disruption during the summer months
There will be no traffic management on site during the Summer Bank Holiday weekend
Full consideration has been given to the impact of the work on road users, residents and work force Temporary 3 way traffic lights wil be inoperation 24 hours a day during the works period.
Manual control of temporary traffic lights will be undertaken at the junction
Information signs will be erected prior to the works advising the travelling public of the works that are being undertaken.
