St Davids Diocese prepares for annual Diocesan Conference
Members from across the Diocese of St Davids will gather in Lampeter this Saturday, 3 October, for the annual Diocesan Conference.
The conference, which takes place at Ysgol Bro Pedr, brings together clergy and lay representatives from churches and communities across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire to reflect on the life, mission and future direction of the Diocese.
Chaired by the Bishop of St Davids, the Rt Revd Dorrien Davies, the annual gathering provides an opportunity for members to hear updates on the work of the Diocese, consider key priorities and take part in discussion and decision-making on matters affecting its churches and communities.
The conference will also include the Bishop’s Presidential Address, alongside reports and presentations covering different areas of diocesan life.
This year’s gathering follows the launch at the 2025 Diocesan Conference of the Diocese’s Year of Mission – Open to God, which continues through to Advent 2026 and has provided a focus for mission and activity across the Diocese.
Bishop Dorrien said:
“Diocesan Conference is an important opportunity for us to come together from across this wonderfully diverse Diocese, to listen to one another, to give thanks for all that is happening in our churches and communities, and to look together towards the future.
“I am very much looking forward to welcoming Conference members to Lampeter and to a day of fellowship, reflection and constructive discussion.”
The Diocese of St Davids stretches across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire and encompasses rural, urban and coastal communities across south-west Wales.
The 2026 St Davids Diocesan Conference takes place on Saturday, 3 October at Ysgol Bro Pedr, Lampeter. Attendance is for Diocesan Conference members.
