Nine Pembrokeshire railway stations to receive new Help Points

Nine railway stations across Pembrokeshire are set to benefit from new Help Points as part of a £1 million investment by Transport for Wales.

The new technology will give passengers direct access to live travel support and real-time information at the press of a button, helping people check train times, request assistance or report an issue.

The Pembrokeshire stations set to receive Help Points are Kilgetty, Lamphey, Manorbier, Narberth, Pembroke, Pembroke Dock, Saundersfoot, Tenby and Clarbeston Road.

The wider rollout will see Help Points introduced at 48 locations across Wales, with a particular focus on unstaffed stations, those with less frequent services and areas where mobile phone signal can be limited.

When passengers use a Help Point, they will be connected directly to a Customer Information Controller based in Wales, with the majority of controllers able to speak Welsh.

Transport for Wales says the investment is designed to help passengers feel safer, more confident and better connected, particularly during times of disruption.

Work is expected to begin during the current financial year, with dates for the installations due to be confirmed in the coming months.
