IMPALA TO SHUT DOWN MILFORD HAVEN TERMINAL OPERATIONS

Commercial operations at the former Puma Energy terminal in Milford Haven are set to cease at the end of December 2026.
Impala has confirmed the decision, following unsuccessful efforts to secure a new contract. The company says there is “no economic alternative”, pointing to global geopolitical conditions, fuel-market economics and customer demand.
Jobs could be at risk, with affected employees now entering formal consultation over potential redundancies. The number of jobs potentially affected has not been disclosed, and Impala says it has not been confirmed that every employee will lose their job.
The company says it is supporting staff and is also reviewing possible future uses for the site.
The news comes as questions are being raised over the future of the terminal and its impact on the local economy.
