Tenby Court, Monkton - Domestic Fire
At 07:15am on Sunday, October 4th, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Haverfordwest Fire Stations were called to an incident at Tenby Court, Monkton.
Crews responded to a fire in the communal hallway of a block of domestic flats.
Prior to the arrival of crews, one person was rescued from a first-floor window. Firefighters subsequently rescued a further two occupants from the property.
Crews utilised 4 breathing apparatus sets, 2 hose reel jets, 1 main jet, 2 thermal imaging cameras and a positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan, which was used following firefighting operations to clear smoke from the building.
One casualty was conveyed to hospital by ambulance suffering from smoke inhalation. Two further casualties were assessed at the scene by ambulance personnel as a precaution.
Crews left the scene at 09:10am.
This incident required a multi-agency response, with Dyfed-Powys Police, the Local Authority and the Ambulance Service also in attendance.
