North Pembrokeshire Open Studios Celebrates Summer with Group Exhibition and 2026 Art Trail
North Pembrokeshire Open Studios (NPOS) is preparing for a vibrant celebration of art and creativity this summer, with its annual Summer Exhibition in Fishguard followed by the return of the North Pembrokeshire Open Studios Art Trail.
The NPOS Summer Exhibition opens at the West Wales Arts Centre at Peppers on
Saturday 15th August and runs until Saturday 5th September 2026. Bringing together work by artists and makers from across Pembrokeshire and West Wales, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to experience the remarkable variety of work represented within NPOS in one welcoming gallery setting.
Painting, ceramics, sculpture, glass, printmaking, jewellery, textiles and mixed media will all feature, reflecting the breadth of creative practice found across the region.
From work inspired by Pembrokeshire’s coast, landscape and wildlife to more abstract and contemporary approaches, the exhibition provides an inviting introduction to the artists taking part in this year’s Art Trail.
The North Pembrokeshire Open Studios Art Trail takes place from Saturday 22nd
August to Sunday 6th September 2026, giving visitors the chance to step beyond the gallery and discover where and how the work is made.
More than 60 artists and makers will welcome visitors into studios, workshops and creative spaces across North Pembrokeshire and West Wales. The Trail offers a rare opportunity to meet artists in person, see works in progress, explore a wide range of artistic techniques and purchase original work directly from its makers.
Studios range from purpose-built workspaces and town-centre galleries to rural workshops tucked away within the Pembrokeshire landscape. Each visit offers a different experience, making the Trail an ideal way to combine a day of art and discovery with an exploration of the coast, countryside, towns and villages of the region.
The Summer Exhibition and Art Trail are designed to complement one another. Visitors can begin at Peppers, where they can see work by many of the participating artists together, before using the printed trail guide to plan visits to individual studios.
Equally, those already exploring the Trail can visit the exhibition to discover other artists whose they may wish to include in their route. Trail maps are free and available from Tourist information centres, participating artists and local businesses.
Whether visitors are established art lovers, looking for a special original piece, curious about how art is created, or simply seeking an inspiring day out, the two events offer an accessible and enjoyable way to experience the depth of creative talent found in this part of Wales.
