Bethlehem Centre Heritage Remembrance Event
Thursday evening the 6th November at 6.30pm in the Bethlehem Centre Newport, Pembrokeshire
A Heritage Remembrance event will take place on Thursday, 6th November at 6.30pm in the Bethlehem Centre, Newport, Pembrokeshire. Local historian Heather Tomos will share her research on soldiers from the Newport area who lost their lives in the First World War, ahead of Remembrance Sunday.
The Bethlehem Centre has hosted over 24 heritage talks since reopening the former chapel in March 2025, with recent events attracting large audiences, such as Martin Lewis’s talk on Newport, which drew more than 100 attendees.
The venue is becoming a key community heritage hub, and ongoing efforts aim to secure heritage grants to transform it into a modern visitor centre. Locals are encouraged to attend and support the community campaign.
