Stepaside CP School celebrates Welsh cricket award

Congratulations are in order for Stepaside CP School after it was named the recipient of the 2026 Cricket Wales Primary School Award.

The Pembrokeshire school was recognised for embracing cricket as part of its wider sporting provision and creating opportunities for pupils to develop their skills, confidence and teamwork through the sport.

Staff at the school work to ensure every pupil has the opportunity to enjoy cricket and create positive sporting memories during their time at primary school.

The school also encourages children to get involved with All Stars Cricket and junior cricket clubs in their local communities, providing a pathway for youngsters who want to continue playing outside school.

Mrs Chandler-Hall and Mrs Badham represented Stepaside CP School at the awards ceremony at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Wednesday.
