Abigail’s Arts Award is back for a show-stopping 5th year!
Abigail’s Show – Theatr Gwaun
Saturday 11th April at 3pm
Where could you expect to see NuMetal, contemporary dance and a traditional harpist on the same bill? Probably nowhere, except at the big show for Abigail’s Arts Award at Theatr Gwaun next month!
This eclectic mix are just some of the finalists who will battle it out on stage to win one of two cheques for £500. The award, which launched in 2022, is aimed at 16 to 25 year olds in Pembrokeshire who need some financial help pursuing their dreams of working in the creative or performing arts.
The show on April 11th will also feature a singer and a film-maker. The audience will see all the finalists perform or present their work before the judges make their decision and then present cheques to the winners.
The show will also feature special guests Tarish Matthews, a local singer (and a previous winner of the Abigail’s Art Award), and the popular Pembrokeshire band KIFT!
It’s hoped that the community will get behind these young artists and performers and enjoy an exciting show focusing on local talent.
The show starts at 3pm and will start with a video introduction by the famous comedian and actor (and patron of Theatr Gwaun) Griff Rhys Jones- so don’t be late!
Theatr Gwaun are proud to support this unique award that helps to nurture young local talent, and are looking forward to a full house in support of this excellent cause.
