COASTAL COTTAGES £50,000 GIVEAWAY TO COMMUNITY PROJECTS IN PEMBROKESHIRE UNDERWAY

Coastal Cottages & PTA Ysgol Maenclochog
Local holiday cottage agency, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire, has recently invested just over £26,000 in charities and community projects across the county via their Coastal Community Fund.
Established in 1982, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire, is a family-run holiday cottage agency based in Haverfordwest with a portfolio of approximately 400 properties. Following on from their pledge earlier in the year to donate £50,000 to Pembrokeshire charities and community projects, they have now donated a total of £26,715 in their first round of funding in 2026.
Guests who book via the local agency, made up of 25 staff from across the county, have the option to donate £3 per booking towards their Coastal Community Fund, which then provides support and funding to local charities and projects across Pembrokeshire.
Over 40 charities and community projects across Pembrokeshire applied during the company’s first round of funding, which had a deadline date of 30th April 2026. Coastal Cottages awarded just over £26,000 to a total often community projects/charities, with funding available in two tiers: Small Grants of up to £500 and Major Grants of up to £5000.
Successful applicants include Blue Horizons for their inclusive adaptive surfing project, Calonnau Bach who provide free first aid training, EcoDewi for beach cleans, the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust for their Get Outdoors project which runs the beach wheelchair facilities across the county and Sandy Bear, a bereavement support charity.
Other successful applicants include Narberth Cricket Club for an Under 14 Girls cricket kit, Penuel Chapel for a community minibus, Get the Boys a Lift, which provides free and accessible counselling sessions, PTA Ysgol Maenclochog for a Community Garden gazebo, and Windswept CIC, which clears marine litter from hard-to-reach areas across the coastline.
“Supporting our local community is a core value for us here at Coastal Cottages and is a fundamental notion in everything we do. Being able to support such a fantastic range of projects and charities across Pembrokeshire is an absolute privilege; we are so thankful to our owners for choosing to let with us and to our guests for choosing to stay with us.” -- Matthew Evans, Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire CEO
