Dream Team Charter launched to promote inclusion across Pembrokeshire

People with learning disabilities are calling on organisations across Pembrokeshire to help build a more inclusive county following the launch of the new Dream Team Charter.

The Charter was officially unveiled at HaverHub in Haverfordwest during an event attended by members of Pembrokeshire People First, local organisations and community partners.

Created by people with lived experience, the Dream Team Charter sets out a series of commitments aimed at improving equality, accessibility, independence and respect for people with learning disabilities. It encourages businesses, public services and community groups to sign up and demonstrate their commitment to making meaningful change.

The campaign highlights the importance of ensuring people with learning disabilities have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives and are supported to participate fully in their communities.

Pembrokeshire People First hopes the Charter will lead to stronger partnerships across the county and inspire organisations to make inclusion a key part of the way they work.

The launch marks the start of a wider campaign to encourage as many organisations as possible to sign the Charter and help create a Pembrokeshire where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
