NEW FILM HIGHLIGHTS IMPACT OF PEMBROKESHIRE COMMUNITY HUB

A new film showcasing the work and impact of the Pembrokeshire Community Hub has been unveiled at The VC Gallery in Pembroke Dock.

Hosted by Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS), the launch brought together voluntary organisations, public sector partners, businesses, volunteers and community leaders from across the county.

The film highlights the wide range of support available through the Community Hub and its network of Community Connectors, including community transport, food banks, community spaces and help with getting online.

Rather than using professional actors, the film features local residents, volunteers and PAVS staff sharing their experiences of community support in Pembrokeshire.

PAVS says its latest social value impact report found that for every £1 invested in the Community Hub and Community Connectors, £4.17 of social value is generated.

PAVS CEO Jess Bickerton said: “This film tells a powerful story about the impact of community action in Pembrokeshire. It highlights the extraordinary contribution of volunteers, community organisations and partner agencies in supporting people, strengthening communities and improving wellbeing across the county.”

The Pembrokeshire Community Hub was established through partnership working between PAVS, Pembrokeshire County Council and Hywel Dda University Health Board and now supports hundreds of people each month.
