Tale of two Memorial Windows

Windowjpg
The remarkable tale spanning 80 years of how the two RAF Pembroke Dock Memorial Windows were created will be recounted at the next meeting of the Pembrokeshire Aviation Group, which this month is staged jointly with the Pembroke Dock Heritage Trust.
Two members of the Heritage Centre Team, John Evans and Trevor Clark, will be joining forces at the Heritage Centre, Meyrick Owen Way, Pembroke Dock, on Wednesday October 22nd. They will be speaking alongside the original Memorial Window which very recently went on display. The Window is on loan from the RAF Museum in London where it was on view for 30 years.
The talk comes just days before the rededication of the window, on Sunday 26th October, almost exactly 80 years on from its original dedication in the former Royal Dockyard Chapel - now the Heritage Centre. Last month HRH The Princess Royal heard the story of the window when she visited the Centre.
The meeting is on the Wednesday evening, not the usual Tuesday, and commences at 7.30pm.
Non members are most welcome to attend the monthly group meetings, with a modest contribution of £1 to help defray costs.
