Mother & Daughter Amanda and Megan Absalom-Lowe of Pembrokeshire Care Share & Give have been nominated for a BBC Cymru Wales Make a Difference Award 2026.
Mother & Daughter Amanda and Megan Absalom-Lowe of Pembrokeshire Care Share & Give have been nominated for a BBC Cymru Wales Make a Difference Award 2026.
These awards recognise individuals and groups who make life better for people in our communities.
Amanda, with the help of her team of Volunteers have been nominated in The Environmental Award for their effort to protect or Converse the local environment and Megan has been nominated for The Young Hero Award recognising people under 16 for Achieving exceptional things.
Over 400 deserving entries were submitted and Judges Chris Packman ( TV Presenter and Conservationist) , Shanequa Paris ( TV Presenter) and Gareth Edwards ( BBC film director) considered all entries of nominees.
The panel of judges will be considering all entries and shortlisting 32 of them. They will be announcing those finalists live on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru on Friday 19 June between 11am and 12 noon.
The finalists will be invited to join us at a ceremony in the autumn.
Amanda said " Those that know me well I hate fuss and being in limelight, but I'm very proud of my daughter Megan in what she does and achieves when we all have our own issues in life. I couldn't do it without the help of my husband Mark, Our Trustees and Volunteers who also help so much in the background and those that support us and continue to through all the hurdles we face.
