Message from Councillor Thomas Tudor: Glan yr Afon/Riverside Public Transport Interchange

As County Councillor for the Castle Ward, it was lovely to attend the opening of Glan yr Afon/Riverside new Public Transport Interchange (multi storey car park) with Pembrokeshire County Council.

This is definitely something that can only make Haverfordwest, the County Town of Pembrokeshire prosper and flourish, and attract inward investment into our town.

Glan yr Afon/Riverside, Haverfordwest’s brand-new Public Transport Interchange, is open – with one hour free parking!

The new facility includes a state-of-the-art bus station and spacious multi-storey car park, making it easier for people to visit Haverfordwest and connect with bus services and onward journeys.

Features include wide parking spaces, upgraded waiting facilities, public toilets including a Changing Places toilet, and EV charging infrastructure.

The interchange is an important part of the ongoing regeneration of Haverfordwest, helping to improve access to the town, support local businesses and encourage future investment.

Bus services will begin operating from Glan yr Afon/Riverside on Monday 21 September.

The car park will operate 24 hours a day with the following charges:
• 1 hour: Free
• 2 hours: £2.00
• 4 hours: £3.00
• 10 hours: £3.50
• 24 hours: £4.50
• Motorbikes (24 hours): £1.00

Blue Badge holders can receive an additional hour free parking by scanning their Blue Badge barcode at the payment terminal.

Parking is cashless and can be paid by card or contactless payment when returning to your vehicle.

The car park operates a pay-on-return system using number plate recognition technology. The PayByPhone app is not available at this location.
