TM Crymych CPD 2-3 St Dogmaels WFC
A tense game at Cae Tegryn with the Saints first away game and looking to control the game from the start. Despite having most of the possession it was Crymych who found the back of the net first when they caught the Saints on the counter attack with a fine finish to make it 1-0
The Saints were not going to let the score line change the plan, with determination they carried on applying pressure after the Crymych goal but frustratingly they could not find the net.
Second half saw the Saints going downhill and still the same story with them keeping Crymych in their half for much of the game, with continued pressure being piled on it was inevitable that something had to give. Chloe Jones stepped up for the corner and whipped it in to skipper Sam Townsend for a stunning header and equalising the score 1-1
After some more strong play Crymych capitalised with a well placed strike to take the lead again. 2-1
Another precision corner kick from Chloe found captain Sam’s head once more for the equaliser 2-2
Battling hard to the end, the Saints still pushing for the winner. Finally at last play of the game Katie Proven got on the end of a goal keepers error and found the back of the net with a fine strike to take the win!
A thrilling game to watch and with the new kids on the scene showing they’re a strong team it’s going to be an exciting league.
