HAVERFORDWEST COUNTY AFC JOINS PROSTATE UNITED TO HELP SAVE MEN'S LIVES
Haverfordwest County AFC is stepping up this October as the club joins Prostate United, the UK's biggest grassroots football fundraiser, to raise vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
Members of staff will walk or run a minimum of three kilometres every day throughout October, joining thousands of football fans, club staff, broadcasters and football legends across the country in the fight against prostate cancer.
The campaign brings together clubs from the Premier League to grassroots football, encouraging supporters to put in the miles, raise awareness and fund lifesaving research.
Prostate cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK, affecting one in eight men, with the risk rising to one in four for Black men.
Seren Evans, Head of Events and Community Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, welcomed Haverfordwest County AFC to the challenge, highlighting how every mile covered and every pound raised helps fund groundbreaking research and supports efforts towards a prostate cancer screening programme.
The club is encouraging supporters and members of the local community to get involved and help make a difference this October.
