Plan your travel to Eisteddfod y Garreg Las
Visitors are expected to flock to Eisteddfod y Garreg Las local communities, across Wales and beyond.
Whichever direction you are travelling from, an however you decide to travel, planning your journey in advance can make sure you arrive at the Maes in good time.
By car:
Follow the yellow ‘Eisteddfod’ signs to reach the Maes if you are coming by car.
The site at Llantwd is a few miles south of Cardigan, via the A487.
From Fishguard, follow the A487 through Newport and northwards right to the Maes entrance.
From Narberth or Carmarthen, take the A478 off the Penblewyn roundabout, continue until you reach the junction with the B4332 (Postgwyn), turn left and travel westbound for around 2 miles
Follow the Eisteddfod signs – you will be directed North off the B4332 before you get to Eglwyswrw
From Crymych, Boncath area – travel to the junction of the B4332 and A478 at Postgwyn – then travel west
Travelling from the North – travel South from Cardigan follow the A478 to the Maes.
Follow the signs to the free car parks and please don’t park on the side of the road (there are parking restrictions in place)
Public Transport
Extra bus services make it easier to leave the car at home when travelling to this special event in north Pembrokeshire.
The TrawsCymru T5 bus service will take passengers straight to the Maes at Llantwd, running regularly from Haverfordwest to Cardigan via Fishguard and Newport.
TrawsCymru will also be providing more frequent buses and late evening services between Fishguard and Cardigan throughout the National Eisteddfod week.
The 430 bus service provides a link from Narberth to Cardigan via Crymych.

Thanks to support from Pembrokeshire County Council, this service will be running every day throughout the Eisteddfod with all services running all the way to/from Narberth, and an extra late evening bus leaving directly from the Maes at 11.15pm. Change in Cardigan for onward transfer to the Maes.
Travel by bus is free for passengers with an All-Wales Concessionary Bus Pass. Young people aged 21 or under can travel for £1 a journey (maximum £3 all day) (MyTravelPass required if aged 16-21). Eisteddfod visitors can also use Bws yr Arglwydd Rhys, a free shuttle service to the Maes from Finch Square, Cardigan, every hour on the hour, 7am to midnight.
Train
If you are travelling from further afield and plan to take the train, Transport for Wales operates regular free shuttle buses to the Maes from Carmarthen station Click here for the timetable. Special excursions to the Maes
Jones Login is organising trips to the Eisteddfod on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, departing from Carmarthen at 07:35 and picking up passengers in St Clears, Whitland, Penblewin, Narberth, and along the A478. Windy Corner Coaches is running trips to the Eisteddfod on Monday and Friday, with a special trip on the first Saturday to see the Super Furry Animals concert.

Midway Motors will be running trips to the Maes every day throughout the Eisteddfod. This will start at Tegryn at 10am, to Llanfyrnach 10:05am, Hermon 10:10am, Crymych 10:15am, Blaenffos 10:20am, Boncath 10:25am and Eglwyswrw 10:35am. Returning from the Maes at 6pm.
At night Tegryn 5;15pm, to Llanfyrnach 5:20pm, Hermon 5:25pm, Crymych 5:30pm, Blaenffos 5:40pm, Boncath 5:54pm and Eglwyswrw 5:50pm, returning from the Maes at 11pm.
