Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards Nominations Now Open
Now is your chance to shine a light on the incredible volunteers who give their time and commitment to our community.
Without these dedicated individuals, and groups, so much of what happens in Pembrokeshire simply wouldn’t be possible.
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards, and we want to make it the biggest celebration yet. This is our collective opportunity to say "thank you" and show volunteers just how much they are valued.
There are seven different categories designed to recognise every type of contribution, from individuals and groups, categories for younger volunteers (under 25), trustees, and those for which volunteering has made a difference to their life. For 2026 there is also an ‘open’ category with the theme of ‘Better Together’.
Finalists will be treated to a gala dinner and awards ceremony in November, hosted at the beautiful Wolfscastle Country Hotel, including entertainment from Fishguard and Goodwick Rugby Club Male Voice Choir. The wonderful ‘Room to Reward’ has also committed several free short breaks for worthy volunteers. Supported by South Hook LNG as part of their ongoing commitment to local community projects.
Mariam Dalziel, South Hook LNG’s PR Manager, commented “This will be the eighth consecutive year that we have supported the Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards – a fantastic initiative that recognises and celebrates the many people across our community, who give their time to support others.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with PAVS and look forward to another great Awards evening in November.”
Ready to nominate? It’s as simple as 1-2-3.
1. Get Permission, ensure you have the volunteer's consent (for individual awards only you don’t need this for groups). 2. Gather Details, you will need to share a bit about the person/group and give as much detail as you can about their volunteering. 3. Complete a Nomination Form: pop all the information in a nomination form - visit the Padlet here https://padlet.com/volforpembs/celebrate, there is an online form or you can download a word version, there are even some "Top Tips" to help. Or contact Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) directly for a form.
The deadline for nominations is 28 September at 12 noon. Don’t miss this chance to ensure our community's volunteers get the recognition they deserve!
