Message from Councillor Thomas Tudor: Evening at Pembrokeshire College

As a County Councillor on Pembrokeshire County Council, it was lovely to be invited with my fellow County Councillors to an evening at Pembrokeshire College by Dr Barry Walters, College Principal.

The event provided an opportunity to hear about the Colleges strategic ambitions and explore its findings from recent research and enabled us to see how we all can work together to respond to the changing skill needs of our county.

It was interesting to hear about how funding from The Crown Estate has enabled the College to complete a feasibility study examining the potential development of an Energy Transition Skills Centre and how the findings are helping to shape the College’s long term estate and curriculum planning and highlight the increasing need for enhanced engineering and technical training facilities to meet future workforce demands.

Working together can only maximise the benefits of future opportunities for Pembrokeshire and our learners.

Many thanks to all the students, teachers and lecturer’s who shared their thoughts and experiences and made us all feel so welcomed.

Thank you / Diolch yn fawr.
