Cast Announcement Kipps
Vision Theatre Company is delighted to announce the leading cast for its landmark 5th Birthday production of Kipps: The New Half A Sixpence Musical, which runs at The Boulevard Theatre, Milford Haven from 20th–22nd August 2026.
Rhys Williams, following his acclaimed performance as Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen, will take on the title role of Arthur Kipps. Michaela Walters, following her standout performance as Carole in The Brittas Empire, will play Mrs Walsingham, while Bella Goldhill, fresh from her acclaimed performance as Jovie in Elf The Musical, will appear as Anne Pornick.
The production will be directed by Drew Baker, with choreography by Katy Thomas and musical direction by Mandy Morris. Further casting will be announced in the coming weeks.
Based on H.G. Wells' semi-autobiographical novel, Kipps: The New Half A Sixpence Musical tells the uplifting story of Arthur Kipps, an ordinary draper's assistant whose life changes overnight when he unexpectedly inherits a fortune. Thrust into the world of wealth and high society, Kipps must navigate romance, class, friendship and the expectations placed upon him, discovering that true happiness lies not in money, but in staying true to yourself. Packed with
humour, heart and some of British musical theatre's most beloved songs, including Flash, Bang, Wallop! and Half A Sixpence, this joyful new production promises to be a highlight of Vision Theatre Company's anniversary celebrations.
Director Drew Baker said:
"Half A Sixpence has a very special place in my heart. After playing Arthur Kipps twice during my amateur theatre days when I was much younger, it only felt right that this became our 5th Birthday production. It's a show bursting with heart, humour and unforgettable music, and I'm thrilled to be bringing this wonderful story to our audiences with such an incredibly talented cast.
As we celebrate five years of Vision Theatre Company, it felt important to produce a show that reflects everything we love about theatre: joy, community, laughter and stories that leave audiences smiling. I can't wait for everyone to experience this production."
Kipps: The New Half A Sixpence Musical forms part of Vision Theatre Company's fifth anniversary celebrations and continues the company's commitment to producing ambitious, high-quality musical theatre in Pembrokeshire.
Performances take place at The Boulevard Theatre, Milford Haven from Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd August 2026.
