MILFORD WATERFRONT PACKS THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS WITH FREE FAMILY FUN, EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Pembrokeshire’s Milford Waterfront has a busy programme for the summer holidays, with weekly giveaways, a family trail, free museum visits, outdoor cinema, watersports and the return of the Milford Waterfront Weekender.
Running throughout August, Milford Waterfront’s Summer Fest offers families plenty of reasons to visit, with something happening each week alongside the destination’s independent shops, cafés, restaurants and waterside setting.
The programme includes ‘Make it Milford Mondays’, when entry to Milford Haven Museum is free, giving families the chance to explore the maritime story of Milford Haven.
Wednesdays bring ‘Win It Wednesday’, with weekly giveaways and surprises announced via Milford Waterfront’s social media channels.
Families can also take part in the Summer Trail, following clues around Milford Waterfront for the chance to win a Milford Waterfront hamper.
There is also a summer photo competition, with visitors invited to share their favourite shots from the waterfront - from sunsets and food to family moments - for the chance to win a £100 voucher.
The destination’s other events include the Milford Waterfront Weekender from 14-16th August, taking place on Mackerel Quay from midday and into the evening.
Across the three days of the free-to-attend event, there will be street food pop-ups from Pembrokeshire and South West Wales, live music, entertainment and a well-stocked bar.
There is also a chance to enjoy cinema by the water with outdoor screenings in association with the Torch Theatre, including The Greatest Showman on 21 August.
Tickets are from £12 per person or £44 for a group of four.
For younger visitors, Under the Bridge offers free activities for 11–16-year-olds from 6–8pm every Tuesday and Friday throughout August.
The programme includes arts, music and sports activities as well as inflatable games.
There’s plenty happening on the water too.
The High Tide Club, a partnership between the Port of Milford Haven and Milford Beach Activity Centre, gives local young people aged 11–17 the chance to try paddleboarding and kayaking for free on selected dates through to 29 August.
