Samuel Kurtz MS Brings Together Cabinet Secretary and Local Campaigners

SPRAG Online Meeting With Ken Skates

Samuel Kurtz MS Brings Together Cabinet Secretary and Local Campaigners to Champion South Pembrokeshire Rail Services

As part of his ongoing campaign to improve rail services in South Pembrokeshire, local Senedd Member Samuel Kurtz MS has brought together the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Ken Skates, and representatives from the South Pembrokeshire Rail Action Group (SPRAG) to discuss much-needed improvements to the Pembroke Dock to Whitland line.

During the meeting, the knowledge of SPRAG members shone through, underlining their deep commitment to restoring an hourly service and their passion for ensuring that Pembrokeshire is not left behind when it comes to rail investment and connectivity.

Speaking after the meeting, Samuel Kurtz MS said:

"This is one of the worst performing lines in Wales, yet it serves Tenby, the busiest station in Pembrokeshire, and links passengers directly with the ferry at Pembroke Dock.

“There is a long way to go until hourly services are reinstated, but by working together as a community we will keep banging the drum for the long-overdue investment that west Wales deserves."
