Local Artist of the Week: LAFANT 01-06-25

Lafant is a young rock band from north Pembrokeshire who record their self-penned songs in their native language, Cymraeg.
The three piece describe their music as taking inspiration from "the '60s British invasion bands and American surf rock but also from the swagger of Britpop and the angst of grunge".
They have just released a four track EP 'Y Fodrwy' (The Ring) on Cardigan's legendary Fflach label, and they are the songs being played on air this week.
The band has a number of gigs lined up, including one supporting Mr Phormula on Friday 27th June at the Queens Hall, Narberth - the latest show from Young Promoters of Pembrokeshire, a great initiative by Lara Herde, Queens Hall manager, teaching young people the ins and outs of gig promotion.
