Local Artist of the Week: MATT BAKER 07/07/25

Matt Baker, who sadly passed aways earlier this year, would have been 50 years old this week. 

To commemorate and celebrate Matt's life he is Artist of the Week, four of the recordings featured were made in his final appearance on the BB Skone Show early in 2024, the other one, Lost In The Maldives which he made with Chris Didcote, is typical of the happy, uplifting music Matt made.

He was a very talented musician, the consummate entertainer, who always encouraged youngsters on their individual musical journeys, especially when he ran the legendary The Tiddly. Matt was also a popular and engaging presenter here on PWR as well as being a member of the Magic Circle!

He is very much missed.

To further commemorate and celebrate Matt's life, Toby Ellis will host a live show at 10am on Wednesday 9th July from Castle Square, Haverfordwest followed by, in the evening at Haverhub, a Open Mic in Tribute to Matt.
