Local Artist Of The Week: Sunday 11th October SPUTNIK WEAZEL

Sputnik Weazel, who lives near Carmarthen, is a singer, songwriter, ukulele player and drummer who has just released his 25th solo album of original songs (and that's not counting the albums he's released with bands he's been a member of, like the Low Down Dirty Dog Blues Band and The Men They Couldn't Hang).

All the songs played this week are taken from that album, Shrine, which is available on Bandcamp or from Sputnik directly (sputnikweazel.co.uk).

Sputnik's music is cleverly crafted, witty, thought provoking. and laden with a post-punk socio-political sensibility. And very funny!

All the songs plus his chat with BB Skone, before Sputnik's amazing show at BOCS, Narberth last week, can be heard also on Catch-up - search for the BB Skone Show of Sunday 11th October.
