Local Artist Of The Week - Sunday 18th October: TOM&ABZ

LAOTW beginning Sunday 18th October: TOM&ABZ

Tom& Abz, brother and sister, will be no strangers to PWR listeners as both are important members of the team - Abz as an occasional presenter and Tom as a regular presenter and producer.

Outside of PWR, Abz has her own podcast featuring aspects of her full time job in social work, and Tom organises Choirs For Good as well as acting and singing in productions by Vision Arts.

As if that wasn't enough, a couple of years ago they formed an acoustic covers duo which has become extremely popular at venues and events all over Pembrokeshire.

Last week they went into Black Label Studios in Haverfordwest to record a session for the BB Skone Show and all the songs played this week are taken from that session.

The complete recordings and interviews can be heard on Catch-up; search for the BB Skone Show of Sunday 18th October.

Their live performances are amazing - unlike most other covers acts they not only cover a wide variety of musical genres but they also, and this is quite special, they tailor their shows with songs specific to the audience, be it special celebrations such as weddings or venues where they know what the regulars will expect. They have even learnt a song especially for the BB Skone Show! How did they know he likes the Blues?
