Local Artist of the Week: VARIOUS ARTISTS.

The Cellar, Cardigan, is a stone's throw from the Pembrokeshire/Ceredigion border and welcomes regular gig goers from both counties and further afield.

Why? Well, along with Cwrw, Carmarthen, both small venues feature live, ORIGINAL music most nights of the week.

There are plenty of small venues in west Wales (check out BB Skone's gig guide) but most of them feature covers acts. Nothing wrong with that. However, it is hard for musicians playing their own music to get gigs and thus future Ed Sheeran's and the like may never get a foothold in the music business. This is why The Cellar is so important.

A double CD has just been released, called We Love The Cellar (pictured), curated lovingly by local musician Steve Kelly, featuring acts that have performed there. These are this week's featured Various Artists.
