Local Artist Of The Week - VICETRACK
Vicetrack is Jamie & Josh Dean, brothers from south east Pembrokeshire.
The band began as a young teenage rock trio 9 years ago which supported Toploader and the Fratellis in Pembroke Castle. Vicetrack is now a duo mixing rock music with electronica and dance - from house to drum & bass - influenced by the likes of the Prodigy and the Chemical Brothers.
Josh plays acoustic drums and also triggers electronic drums live whereas Jamie sings, plays guitar, bass and keyboards, and also triggers samples and backing tracks they have prerecorded in their home studio! This makes for an awesome, exciting, energetic live sound that makes one wonder how-do-they-do-it?
All the tracks played this week, both originals and covers, were recorded live in session at Black Label Studios for the BB Skone Show.
The full interview with Vicetrack, plus an extended drum & bass version of Better World, can be heard on Catch up - just search for the BB Skone Show of Sunday 21st June,
You can catch Vicetrack at various venues and festivals around Pembrokeshire this summer - check BB Skone's Gig Guide for details.
