What do you do at Pure West Radio?

How did you get into radio?
Quite by accident! I've been a guest on the radio over many years via numerous bands I've been in, but never the other side of the desk, until now! During the 2020 lockdown I started a web series archiving my band, Supergene's history that garnered over 20,000 views across all the episodes. One of those viewers was Lara, my co-host, who saw my potential in my presenting skills. Pure West Radio, in turn, believed in our vision for a new entertainment-style show, and here I am.
Where is your favourite place in Pembrokeshire?
There's almost a secret waterfall just outside Dinas Cross toward the beach. I lived in Dinas as a kid and loved this spot.
Who is your hero?
My wife and daughters are my heroes, without doubt!
What is your biggest fear?
Needles, and my own blood. I once had a blood test lying on a bed with a nurse stroking my hand while the other one obscured the machine from my view.
Where is your favourite place to visit in the world?
I've been fortunate enough to goto The Maldives, it's incredible there!
What would you change about yourself if you could?
Nothing, I accept me as I am.
What really makes you angry?
Inanimate objects.
What motivates you to work hard?
My family, and having Multiple Sclerosis.
What is your favourite thing about your life?
My family, I'm a lucky guy.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Wow so many!!!! My children trump all the band stuff though.
Who is the most famous person you've met?
Too many to list, Stuart Cable and Ray Gravelle were massive fans of my band.
One thing people might be surprised to know about you?
I'm in a book that has a copy forevermore in the British and Welsh libraries!
