The Go Lightly Gardener

To ring the changes from gardening tips, here instead is a floral arrangement I made from foliage collected from the garden.  

I am a member of Haverfordwest Floral Art Society so thought I’d incorporate a bit of floral art to show what else can be achieved from just a few stems and branches etc.

You will need:  A small square or round bowl or container.  Biodegradable floral foam or chicken wire, Assorted foliage from the garden, I’ve used lelande for the skirt.  Pitisporum for the shape and hosta leaves and Berberis for contrast .  

1. Construct the basic shape with the foliage of your choice.    
2. Fill in with foliage so that the oasis is covered.
3. Place your hero flowers in position, covering the stems.  
4. Add your fun Halloween bits and pieces     
5.  Enjoy
