Pembrokeshire’s IRONMAN Wales confirmed as one of the best in the world

We’ve always suspected it but now it’s official: IRONMAN Wales is one of the best IRONMAN events anywhere in the world.
And that verdict comes directly from the remarkable men and women who tackle the tough triathlons all over the globe.
Run in partnership with Pembrokeshire County Council, IRONMAN Wales scored in the top 10 globally and top 10 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in eight out of nine categories in the IRONMAN Athletes’ Choice Awards.

Toilet strategy aims to keep conveniences open

Plan for future of public toilet facilities prioritises keeping as many conveniences open as possible.
Pembrokeshire County Council’s Cabinet approved the Local Toilet Strategy 2023 at its meeting on Monday (24th April).

Ysgol Caer Elen celebrates outstanding Estyn report success

Ysgol Caer Elen in Haverfordwest has received a glowing report from education inspectorate Estyn.
The Welsh language school was inspected in February and Inspectors found that the school is “a caring, inclusive Welsh community in which pupils are given valuable opportunities to develop.”

Ysgol Greenhill raise vital funds for charity

Recently, the sixth form students at Ysgol Greenhill in Tenby organised a fundraiser in memory of their science teacher. Mr John Swancott had taught science at Ysgol Greenhill for over 23 years, but he became unwell with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer and sadly passed away.
