Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity receives £45,178 from Valero.

Valero’s 2022 UK Benefit for Children Classic was held for the 9th time this summer, at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, to raise money for children’s charities.
The overall event raised £355,000, which goes towards supporting children’s charities across the UK.

Tomos Newman is a 16 year old singer/guitarist/songwriter from Martletwy.
He has a great voice and is already an accomplished guitar player.

Work begins on Tudor Place housing development

Work has started at Tudor Place, Tiers Cross to create 11 quality, sustainable and affordable Council homes.
The Tudor Place development is the second Pembrokeshire County Council housing site in the Authority’s ambitious housing development programme

Primary Free School Meals roll out will commence in September 2022

From September, schools in Pembrokeshire will roll out Free School Meals to children in:
• full time nursery
• reception
• and years 1 and 2 pupils in primary schools

Work begins on new outdoor space for patients

Thanks to the fantastic fundraising efforts and the generosity of the local community, work to develop a new roof terrace adjoining the refurbished Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest began on 18 July 2022.

What to do if you find dead or sick wild birds in Pembrokeshire

Members of the public are being urged not to touch any dead or sick wild birds they may come across in Pembrokeshire.
Dead or sick birds in public places, such as beaches, should be reported by calling 01437 764551 (or out of hours 0345 601 5522) for Pembrokeshire County Council to arrange to collect safely.

Help shape Pembrokeshire’s Green Infrastructure

Members of the Pembrokeshire public are being invited help shape the planning and delivery of Green Infrastructure across the county.
A consultation is being launched today, Thursday, 1st September and will run for six weeks until 5pm on Friday 14 October to allow members of the public to identify and comment on Green Infrastructure opportunities.

Llys-y-frân partners with National Botanical Gardens of Wales for wildflower meadow biodiversity project

Llys-y-frân saw its first ‘green hay’ spreading event last week.
Sourced from National Botanical Gardens of Wales wildflower meadows, the green hay was spread on Llys-y-frân’s meadow areas to improve biodiversity in the upcoming wildflower meadow areas.
