Bob Ellis of Haverfordwest is a high flyer - literally, for the former RAF and commercial pilot has built and flown his own light aircraft!

Billy Cole is a legendary figure on the Pembrokeshire music scene. As a singer and guitarist he has been performing in the Shire since the early 1960s with bands such as The Tremolos and Firewater though he is perhaps best known as a member of the late Lloyd Coles’ Country band, Black Gold.

Local Artist of the Week - Tia Lloyd

Tia is a young singer and guitarist from Pembroke Dock who began her career only a few years ago performing at the counties many Open Mic nights.

The songs she is playing were recorded exclusively for Pure West Radio.

Ross Gurney is a singer/songwriter who has recently returned to his home city of St Davids after spending a decade or so in Cardiff. He is beginning to get back into the county's music scene. His next local gig is on February 17th at the Lifeboat Tavern, Tenby.

Will Scott is an accomplished singer and guitarist who performs regularly at venues all over Pembrokeshire, either solo or with his band Loose Change. He is also a talented luthier.

2022 saw the return of BB Skone's legendary 'Live in Session' slot with musicians from all over Pembrokeshire playing live and unplugged in Pure West Radio's Studio 2 to great acclaim.

David Gray has been touring a show celebrating the 20th Anniversary of his 'White Ladder' album, the seminal album that is in the top ten best selling UK albums of all time and the album that launched his career and a host of singer/songwriters, including Ed Sheeran, who followed in his footsteps.

Dan Bettridge is a talented and exciting singer/songwriter who has already toured the UK, Canada, and the USA and whose star is definitely on the rise. His beautiful and cleverly arranged songs are complemented by an incredibly strong voice, impossible to really categorise though Soulful Americana comes close.

Paul Mallett is an accomplished singer/guitarist/songwriter from Fishguard who has recorded and performed under a number of aliases for many years. He has also been a regular at Open Mic nights.
