What do you do at Pure West Radio?
Content Team, News and Presenter. Not many areas in Pure West I haven't experienced!
How did you get into radio?
I always wanted to get into journalism/presenting ever since I was little. I emailed the team at Pure West looking for some work experience. After a week jam packed with experience 3 years ago, I never left! I have been lucky enough to be able to keep myself on the airwaves in university, presenting a sports show on Cardiff University's very own station, Xpress Radio!
Where is your favourite place in Pembrokeshire?
Cresswell Quay
Who is your hero?
Sebastian Vettel, legend of the sport, strong moral beliefs and an iconic personality. Also Chappell Roan, very envious of her wardrobe.
What is your biggest fear?
Fish, my worst nightmare is setting foot into an aquarium or having to eat a piece of salmon.
Where is you favourite place to visit in the world?
Denmark, a distant relative lived there years ago and it's supposed to be the happiest place on earth, that's where I want to be!
What would you change about yourself if you could?
Be more confident in myself!
What makes you really angry?
Being late, it drives me up the wall!
What motivates you to work hard?
My mum and dad, they’ve always been super supportive and have a lot of faith in me. Also, Cherry Coke is a very strong motivator for me to do anything!
What is your favourite thing about your life?
Doing anything with my friends or competing in YFC both give me so much joy!
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Interviewing Alun Wyn Jones after joing Pure West Radio, it was a real pinch me moment! Getting into Cardiff University to study History was also an immensely proud moment, safe to say I celebrated well!
Who is the most famous person you've met?
Matt Baker and Angelica Bell presenting The One Show. Matt Baker took a selfie with me during his Mic Check at the Royal Welsh 4 years ago. He came and found me with Angelica and spoke to me and my Dad, it was really surreal
One thing people might be surprised to know about you?
In 2023, I was no1 in Wales for judging Dairy Cows in the Under 21 section at the Royal Welsh Show. It usually surprises my friends at university as I am very pink and girly!
