Jerry Evans is the man who bought the old Haverfordwest post office and helped turn it into the marvellous community centre it is today - Haverhub. Jerry is also responsible for the creation of Dark Street Studios in what was the much missed Swales Music Centre, next door to the Pure West Radio HQ.

Local Artist of the Week: TIM & SARAH WILLIAMS 27/02/23
Tim & Sarah Williams are husband and wife visual artists from Keeston. Tim is an accomplished sculptor working in metal and Sarah is a painter and collagist. They have exhibited regularly throughout Pembrokeshire, together and separately, including at St Davids Cathedral. Sarah is also featured in a recent book about 10 'Women Artists in Wales'. One of her latest works, a re-interpretation of the traditional Welsh women's costume which explores notions of gender identity, is pictured.

Jodie Marie, originally from Narberth, will be no stranger to PWR listeners. Since being 'discovered' over a decade ago by Bernard Butler (of indie band Suede, who also 'discovered' Duffy), Jodie's career has gone from strength to strength. During lockdown she released her critically and popularly acclaimed album The Answer, recorded at Carmel Chapel, Clarbeston which Jodie and her partner Owain Fleetwood Jenkins have loving restored and made into a state of the art studio called StudiOwz..

Billy Cole is a legendary figure on the Pembrokeshire music scene. As a singer and guitarist he has been performing in the Shire since the early 1960s with bands such as The Tremolos and Firewater though he is perhaps best known as a member of the late Lloyd Coles’ Country band, Black Gold.

Ross Gurney is a singer/songwriter who has recently returned to his home city of St Davids after spending a decade or so in Cardiff. He is beginning to get back into the county's music scene. His next local gig is on February 17th at the Lifeboat Tavern, Tenby.

Phil Hallett, from Keeston, is an accomplished singer and guitarist. Now aged 84, he has been a professional musician since the 1950s and has a few stories to tell, as you can imagine, with periods spent working in the Bahamas, Las Vegas, and top London night clubs where Rod Stewart once sang with his band!
