Paul Sartori charity invites public to history project meeting

Paul Sartori Hospice at Home is hosting a community engagement event at The Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre on Tuesday 14th February, to highlight the on-going work of its Oral History Project. The event will run from 1pm to 3pm and organisers hope for another enthusiastic response from the public, following one at the first public meeting at Haverfordwest Library in September 2022.

Engagement event to be held for Solva Surgery patients

Hywel Dda University Health Board is working with Solva Surgery in North Pembrokeshire to ensure the continued provision of GP services for patients following the resignation of the General Medical Services Contract in December 2022.
The decision to resign the Contract that the Practice holds with the health board was made by the single-handed GP Partner who is retiring in the Spring.

Mobile Library to visit Narberth on Monday and Saturday mornings throughout January

The Mobile Library Service will be visiting Narberth every Monday and Saturday morning in January while the town’s library remains closed.
The library requires emergency building maintenance to be carried out and the Mobile Library will ensure that book lovers continue to be well served.

Free meals available for younger pupils returning to school

As the new term starts parents and carers are being reminded that free school lunches are available for all full-time primary pupils from nursery to Year Two.
There is no need to register or fill in an application form with the free school dinners available for all children in full-time nursery, reception year 1 and year 2 pupils in Pembrokeshire.

The West Wales Regional Partnership Board held its first award ceremony in Carmarthen to showcase the innovation, dedication and excellence of the health and social care workforce in the region.

Pembrokeshire Sibling Group gets Christmas treat from Fenton School

Pembrokeshire Sibling Group (PSG) were delighted to attend Fenton School just before Christmas, to receive money raised from an enterprise fair.
Two pupils, Caiden Meacham and Noah Evans had encouraged donations of toys and games from families in their class and then sold those toys and games at the school enterprise fair.

2023 New Years Resolution agreed by a Pembrokeshire community aiming to buy the local closed pub, Crymych Arms

The community of Crymych in North Pembrokeshire are setting themselves a goal for 2023, to buy and reopen the Crymych Arms pub in the centre of the village.
A public meeting was held on the 13th of December at the Market Hall in Crymych to set out the proposal. Over 40 people attended the public meeting that was chaired by Martin Lloyd the chairman of Crymych Football Club. Over 40 people attended the meeting on a very cold and icy evening with many more giving their apologies and wishing to know more.

Crochet blankets donated for Clinical Team at local charity

The Pembrokeshire based Hospice at Home charity, Paul Sartori Foundation has recently had another visit from a long-time supporter. Heather Picton, a Milford Haven resident has once again been busy crocheting knee blankets. Heather makes the knee blankets for the Hospice at Home Nurses and Nursing Assistants to use whilst working night shifts.
